Usually, an urinary tract infection is easy to treat, but if the patient has genital herpes, urethritis or other dangerous conditions, it can take much time. Prevention means include careful cleaning of genitals and simple hygiene measures. However, due to the risk of spread, the use of special medication is advised. In mild cases, the disease does not need any treatment. As a rule, a urine sample is taken to determine the presence of the condition.
