It may be also any nonviral poliferation resembling this lesion. Called also wart and verruca. A lobulated hyperplastic epidermal lesion with a horny surface caused by a human papillomavirus, transmitted by contact or autoinoculation, and usually occurring on the dorsa of the fingers and hands.
