The treatment of genital warts can take much time, but if a patient has ASCUS, it is usually left to heal on its own, as such simple condition doesn't lead to complications, such as miscarriage. Standard therapies for GW remove most or the problem. They are: caustic/acids, podophylin resin, imiquimod cream (Aldara), interferon, podophylox, HPV vaccines (not yet available). There is no ideal remedy for all cases. Such people should always use condoms not to transmit the virus to uninfected partners. Subclinical infection may be lifelong, and there is no remedy.
