A pregnancy pap smear can detect vaginal wart, cervical dysplasia and other vulvar problems. The test results are usually ready one to two weeks after the procedure. For a greater accuracy of test results, avoid intercourse, douching, vaginal creams and medications for 24 hours before the procedure. If abnormal cells have been detected in the cervix, treatment is prescribed after delivery. A pregnancy pap smear can detect vaginal wart, cervical dysplasia and other vulvar problems.
