With a pap smear irregular the possible disorder can develop unnoticed and may require a cone biopsy; with a regular pap smear it is possible to prevent the disorder on the early stage. Abnormal cells are indicative of cancer and should be managed to stop malignant growth. If precancerous cells are determined, there is a good chance to cure the condition and not let cervical cancer develop.
