There are several pap smear classifications that help to determine the level of condyloma and other disorders and define the best suited treatment, such as cone biopsy for severe cases. The CIN Grading system employs 9 grades that correspond to 5 grades used by the Bethesda system. These evaluation systems are widely spread today unlike the outdated one that was offered by Dr. Papanicolaou and distinguished between classes rather than descriptions of the condition.
