Pap Smear And Herpes

There is no connection between pap smear and herpes; ASCUS and genital wart are caused by HPV, but herpes is caused by HSV. To date HSV treatment exists for outbreak and suppression. To date there is no cure for either viral infection. When adequately collected, viral infections such as HSV and HPV can be identified and managed. Anomalies related to their specific cause show specific characteristics on cytology examination. There is no connection between pap smear and herpes; ASCUS and genital wart are caused by HPV, but herpes is caused by HSV.

Any stressor acting upon the immune system can weaken it and leave it susceptible to impairment leading to new abnormal cell growth. As cells become exposed to bacterial and viral infections such as HSV virus or Human Papillomavirus (HPV), characteristic alterations occur which allow for specific determination of the cause. There is no connection between pap smear and herpes; ASCUS and genital wart are caused by HPV, but herpes is caused by HSV.
