There are many reasons for a miscarriage of pregnancy; often women after a leep procedure, or those with cervical cancer are more prone to such a disorder. It is believed that safe exercise, lifting, and sexual intercourse, unless it brings an infection, do not lead to abortion. Women with hormone deficiency, infections and swellings in delivery organs are also in the risk group. Natural abortion may result from fetus abnormalities due to genetic reasons usually unrelated to the mother. The causes are not determined in one third of cases. A late fetus loss may appear from eight to twenty weeks. It appears more commonly during the first eight weeks of fetus development, which is referred to as an early fetus loss. A medical term for this condition is spontaneous abortion.
