Pregnancy HPV

During the course of pregnancy hpv is not treated, as the cervix and vulvar area can be damaged; all treatment is postponed till after the delivery. Rarely, genital warts can be transmitted from mother to the child; it is a life-threatening condition. Genital warts in the vagina make it less elastic and may cause obstructions during delivery. Genital warts sometimes grow so large that make it difficult to urinate. Often, warts cause no problems and disappear without any treatment, but pregnant women may suffer a lot from genital warts, especially if they get larger. Disorders caused by human papillomavirus are very common and everydody is susceptible to getting the virus.
