The genital human papiloma virus strains are linked to miscarriage, infertility, various vaginal infections such as vulvar vestibulitis and cancer. This is one of the most common viruses responsible for genital warts. Though, the infection can be quite harmless in many cases, and warts may not appear at all, there is ground for worries. Some strains of the HPV virus have been reported as the main factor of cervical cancer. Multiple sexual partners, and the presence of other STDs are among the major risk factors of getting infected. HPV tends to grow on the cervix, vagina, vulva, urethra, and the anus. Basically, there are two kinds of abnormal tissue caused by HPV: warts and dysplasia.
