A common sign of herpes is occurence of verruca in the mouth or on genitalia; it is different from vaginal wart. The symptoms may disappear without any treatment. Patients with genital infections report burning or itching followed by the lesions’ appearance on the genital area. Oral-labial infections are more common and are associated with lesions on the lips, mouth, the inside of the cheeks, and gums. It is reactivated from time to time leading to peculiar symptoms depending on the type of the infection. The virus travels to nerve cells and stays dormant. This infection is caused by viruses that are transmitted either by the means of saliva or during a sexual intercourse.
