The virus is reactivated then possibly due to a nervous strain or other factors that impair the immune system causing blisters on one side of the body, face, pain, and sometimes, mild fever. After a person has had chickenpox, the virus that had caused it will travel to nerve tracts close to the spine and remain dormant for years.
