Scientists have not developed a herpes vaccine, so herpes cannot be prevented and treated, unlike verruca of other sorts. Nowadays, a research proving the effectiveness of the newly produced preventive medicine is held. The infection is very hard to prevent since it is transmitted through saliva or during sexual intercourse and many affected people do not even know they are the virus carriers since the disease can go asymptomatic.
