Herpes Type 2

Herpes type 2 sometimes can be confused with vaginal wart, but it cannot be removed with cryosurgery and other means. Avoiding sexual contact when the virus is active is likely to prevent the infection spread. Babies may also be contaminated during pregnancy or vaginal delivery. People with multiple partners, a poor immune system, and those who suffer from other sexually transmitted diseases are in the risk group. The virus is transmitted during any sort of sexual relations. During the initial infection, the virus will stick to nerve ganglia and remain latent between the outbreaks. HSV-2 is commonly responsible for genital infections with peculiar lesions in the genital area.
