Herpes blood test will only show increased antibodies, the same results are with condyloma, or HPV wart viruses. Despite a common belief that lesions on the body indicate the presence of the virus, this is not always so. Lesions may stem from other infections, which calls for special testing to determine the diagnosis. Moreover, there may appear no signs of the infection at all, yet a patient may have an outbreak. However, testing is not always reliable either. This procedure can determine if there are antibodies in the patient. A positive result indicates the person has suffered from the infection at least once, whereas a negative result suggests the opposite.
