This is a common virus infection caused by HSV virus and there are two types of this virus: types 1 and 2. The sores can appear on the anus, buttocks, top of the thighs, mouth, lips or face, etc. Symptoms of the initial infection are usually the most severe as the body may not have been exposed to the virus before and antibodies will not have been produced to trigger the immune response.
