There exist several methods of treatment genital herpes, but the vaccine against genital herpes and oral herpes is not yet developed. There are actually several ways to keep from getting the virus: not to have sex (intercourse, oral, or anal) if you have the virus and especially if it is active. It is also advised to keep from touching the sores and to wash your hands right away to prevent spreading the virus to other areas. There exist several methods of treatment genital herpes, but the vaccine against genital herpes and oral herpes is not yet developed.

Condoms offer little or no protection even after the sores have healed, as the virus is not contained in a small area. If you have discovered any symptoms of the disease you need to be very careful not to infect other people and visit the doctor immediately.
