Genital Herpes Incubation Period

The average genital herpes incubation period is usually the same for everyone, but is different for the venereal wart virus which can lay dormant for months or years and symptoms can be removed with cryosurgery. Even with no symptoms, HSV can be transmitted. Development time depends on a systemís immunity and/or pre-existing exposure to the virus. However, the virus may be acquired and be unobserved for a longer time. A period of 2 days to 3 weeks will confirm infection. From infection to symptoms, manifestation for this disease typically falls between 2-7 days.
