Systemic immune strengtheners can be effective overall to remove a wart, manage symptoms of lichen sclerosis, and suppress common, flat, and plantar wart generation. The condition is usually caused by some strains of HPV. Infection affects the skin and mucous membranes; it can occur in any age, but increases in 12-16 years. The disease is asymptomatic, but may cause cosmetic disfigurement and painful tenderness. There is no ideal remedy for all cases. Treatment measures are: benign neglect (not recommended for extensive and spreading disease,) topical agents (salicylic acid, cantharidin, podophyllin, imiquimod, cidofovir, podophyllotoxin, and tretinoin,) intralesional injections (bleomycin, interferon alpha,) systemic agents (cimetidine and retinoids,) and alternative treatments.
