Planter's Warts

Planter's warts (plantar's) are of the foot and are not caused by the same strain as those that cause vaginal dysplasia or ASCUS cervical tissue. This is the other name for palmoplantar disorder. These lesions cause pain, because they grow deep into the plantar surface. Extensive involvement on the sole of the foot may impair ambulation. Malignant change has been reported, but such cases are very rare.
