Plantar's Wart

Plantar's wart is of the foot and is caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). The other name for palmoplantar disorder is myrmecia. This type of the disease grows deep into the plantar surface and causes pain. Extensive involvement on the sole of the foot may impair ambulation. Malignant change (verrucous carcinoma) is rare. This problem is found on weight-bearing areas, such as the metatarsal head and heel. When it occurs on the hand, it tends to be subungual or periungual. The problem begins with small shiny papules and progress to deep round lesions, surrounded by a smooth collar of thickened horn. Plantar's wart is of the foot and is caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus).
