There is no cure for wart viruses although removal is an option, with a colposcopy along with a leep procedure as genital treatments. HPV infections are the only known cause of condylomata acuminata. Although vaccines are in clinical trials, means to irradiate infection from the body are still unavailable. Prolonged exposure and lowered immunity are correlated to progression of more severe forms of cancer. Thus, a high priority should be placed on treatment. Medications may include herbal supplements, topical agents, and chemical products. Injections of anti-cancer drugs such a bleomycin may also be administered, but may have pain and adverse side effects. Immune triggering response stimulators, e.g., allergic inducing or interferon injections, to promote their rejection and/or surgical removal are also practiced.
