Genitial Warts

Some genitial warts, especially a large vaginal wart can lead to miscarriage or other complications. One retrospective study revealed a cure rate of 64% in 12 months. A risk of nosocomial infection also exists in health care workers, since HPV can be isolated in the plume. Laser treatment is a very successful method of curing resistant disorders, however, the procedure can be painful and leave scarring. Some genitial warts, especially a large vaginal wart can lead to miscarriage or other complications.

Caused by the human papilloma virus, it is infectious, and autoinoculable. Although the lesions are usually few in number, they may aggregate to form large cauliflower-like masses. Condyloma acuminatum usually occurrs on the mucous membranes or skin of the external genitals or in the perianal region. Some genitial warts, especially a large vaginal wart can lead to miscarriage or other complications.
