Genital Wart Treatments

There are several genital wart treatments, but not any genital wart should be treated, as they heal by their own without serious complications, such as infertility. Cryosurgery is very effective for treating multiple, small disorders on the genitalia, but itís not effective curing the rectum area. Standard therapies are: caustic/acids, podophylin resin, imiquimod cream (Aldara), interferon, podophylox, HPV vaccines (not yet available). There is no ideal remedy for all cases. Such people should always use condoms not to transmit the virus to uninfected partners. Subclinical infection may be lifelong, and there is no remedy. Cure is aimed at destruction of the warty growth rather than elimination of the virus.
