Planter Warts

Planter Warts

Planter warts are caused by HPV; plantar wart and other types of warts can be treated with colposcopy, surgery and several other methods. They begin as small shiny papules and progress into deep round lesions, surrounded by a smooth collar of thickened horn. When they occur on the hand, they tend to be subungual or periungual. This problem is found on weight-bearing areas, such as the metatarsal head and heel.
