Gential herpes is a virus included in the STD's and is not of the HPV groulp that the plantar wart is in, HPV is detectable by a pap smear. There are usually more than one genital blister is present. The virus is the commonest sexually transmitted infection diagnosed in genito-urinary medicine (GUM) clinics. The number of people that suffer from the virus is increasing. It's estimated that up to 30% of sexually active men and women are infected with the virus.
