Latex condoms are somewhat effective in preventing transmission of HPV to a partner. In this case the condom must cover the affected areas completely. If the partner has no outward signs of infection on areas high on the penis they will pass the virus on even while wearing a condom. The most commonly used are paint, cream, burning, freezing and a method of “light amplification” stimulated emission radiation.
