Genital Hands Wart

Genital hands wart are not the same viruses, hand warts are common-type; genital warts are more serious perhaps needing colposcopy and leep procedure. Over 100 different strains have been identified in the HPV group of viruses, or than 30 of these strains can infect the genitalia. These strains or types are often transmitted from one person to another through sexual intercourse. The sexually transmitted types are highly contagious. The most effective strategy of preventing HPV infection is abstinence. Condoms can reduce, but do not eliminate transmission, and never have sex with anyone who has lesions or unusual growths in the genital area or anus. Have regular Pap smear tests performed.
