Genital Wart Treatments

There are several genital wart treatments, but it is impossible to remove HPV from the system; a colposcopy exam allows to carefully examine the cervical area. Cryosurgery is very effective for treating multiple, small disorders on the genitalia, but itís not effective curing the rectum area. They are: caustic/acids, podophylin resin, imiquimod cream (Aldara), interferon, podophylox, HPV vaccines (not yet available). Standard therapies for GW remove most or the problem. There is no ideal remedy for all cases. Such people should always use condoms not to transmit the virus to uninfected partners. Subclinical infection may be lifelong, and there is no remedy. Cure is aimed at destruction of the warty growth rather than elimination of the virus.
