Sex After Leep Procedure

It is not recommended to have a sex after leep procedure for 3-4 weeks to reduce the chances of getting HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) or other viruses and infection. The use of tampons, douche, and hot baths should be avoided. Also, the woman should not lift heavy objects and take vigorous exercises. A woman is recommended to abstain from sexual intercourse for as long as her physician recommends it. It is not recommended to have a sex after leep procedure for 3-4 weeks to reduce the chances of getting HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) or other viruses and infection.

The operation is rather safe. It will prevent the abnormal cells from turning into cervical cancer. The loop electrosurgical excision operation is normally used when the Pap smear of a woman indicates that there are abnormal cells on the surface of the cervix.
