Cervical Colposcopy

A cervical colposcopy exam can detect penile wart, condyloma, cervical dysplasia and other disorders. There are three levels beginning with mild dysplasia, also known as CIN I or LGSIL. The next two levels are moderate and severe, or CIN II and III or HGSIL. When the biopsies are examined at a lab, the results will show what level of cervical dysplasia has been found. A cervical colposcopy exam can detect penile wart, condyloma, cervical dysplasia and other disorders.

Penile Wart, Condyloma

Abnormal cells that form on the cervix are caused by the Human Papillomavirus, HPV, which is picked up through skin-to-skin contact. This is where a low-powered microscope is used to view the cervix for abnormal cells and also which determines where biopsies should be taken. A cervical colposcopy exam can detect penile wart, condyloma, cervical dysplasia and other disorders.
