Bleeding After Colposcopy

Bleeding after colposcopy is not a common thing; if the patient complains on abnormal vaginal discharge, cryotherapy or LEEP procedure are used. Don't use tampons and avoid sex at that time. After these operations, light spotting, dark discharge and pain are possible for several days. It may be necessary to take a sample (biopsy) from the affected area and send it to a laboratory for further analysis.
