Colposcopy Result

A colposcopy result may show the presence of the cause of cervical dysplasia, usually HPV viruses that cause verruca, or warts. This procedure is usually performed after a Pap smear test has shown abnormal changes in the cervix. It is important to take a closer look at the problem area to determine the cause of these changes, because the Pap test is not the diagnostic tool. A colposcopy result may show the presence of the cause of cervical dysplasia, usually HPV viruses that cause verruca, or warts.
