This dangerous disease develops from cells that have undergone atypical changes. The main cause of the abnormalities is Human papilomavirus and STD's, such as herpes, gonorrhea and chlamydia. To prevent the disease, avoid having many sexual partners and use condoms (although condoms only provide minimal protection).
