Cervical Cancer Pregnancy

When diagnosed with cervical cancer, pregnancy is still possible with a cesarean section as an option, early detection of the wart viruslinked to cancer is possible with a pap smear. Some women develop dysplastic cells when they become pregnant because their immune system is weakened, but malignant tissues develop very rarely. If malignancies are diagnosed at an early stage, the child can be born without problems through a cesarean section. If the stage is moderate, a cesarean section or vaginal delivery with later hysterectomy is recommended. Immediate treatment by radiation therapy is necessary right after the delivery. After the hysterectomy the woman will not have children.
