Thin Prep Pap Smear

A thin prep pap smear is a more specific and accurate test that will detect what is causing the cervix abnormalities such as the wart viruses (HPV). This procedure involves collecting a small sample of cells from the cervical surface for analysis. Every woman should pass through this test annually and women who are at risk for cervical cancer should have more frequent tests. It is the best way to detect lesions, malignancies, infections and precancerous conditions. Cervix, Wart

Most cases of cervical dysplasia, cancer, ASCUS, AGUS, SIL and other problems are easy to cure at low stages. Being practically always asymptomatic in the beginning, they are very difficult to detect and may develop into cervical cancer if left untreated for many years. A thin prep pap smear is a more specific and accurate test that will detect what is causing the cervix abnormalities such as the wart viruses (HPV).
