Abnormal Pap Result

When an abnormal pap result is received, further tests are performed to determine the presence of viruses that may be a factor in miscarriage, infertility, cervical dysplasia and vulvar infections. If such test indicates a malignant or premalignant condition, the patient is reexamined and the test repeated. Then the cervix is viewed with a magnifying instrument called a colposcope and a sample of the affected tissue is taken for further evaluation. When an abnormal pap result is received, further tests are performed to determine the presence of viruses that may be a factor in miscarriage, infertility, cervical dysplasia and vulvar infections.

Miscarriage, Vulvar

This test can detect minor conditions, irritations and various infections. Every woman who is sexually active should have regular tests, because all disorders are easier to cure at first stages, when they are asymptomatic and cause problems only at advanced stages.
