Cyro surgery is a treatment for removing abnormal tissue that is diagnosed as a stage of cervical cancer, also known as cryosurgery. Cryosurgery is one of the method of treating cervical dysplasia, genital warts and other abnormal changes of the skin or cervix. The procedure is rather safe and simple and has practically no side effects. It is performed in the physicianís office under a local anesthesia. A carbon dioxide-cooled probe (a cryoprobe) is used to freeze and kill abnormal cells and lesions. The tissue sloughs off and it is impossible to save it for further pathological examination. The procedure doesnít affect the patientís ability to conceive and give birth.
