Leep surgery lowers risk of complications over cone biopsy for vaginosis and others while offering a faster recovery time. The loop electrosurgical excision procedure is performed with a thin, low-voltage electrified wire loop, which cuts away abnormal cervical tissues and can replace cone biopsy.
