Inflammation Of The Cervix

An inflammation of the cervix may be caused by lichen sclerosis or other viruses and only treated with cryotherapy if warts or dyaplasia is present. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is a severe condition occurring when vaginal and cervical infections spread into the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and surrounding tissues. The disorder may be rather dangerous and affect the woman’s fertility and lead to tube pregnancy. An inflammation of the cervix may be caused by lichen sclerosis or other viruses and only treated with cryotherapy if warts or dyaplasia is present.

Cervicitis, which is caused by STDs, such as gonorrhea, chlamidia and genital herpes often leads to PID, if not treated. Typical symptoms of the cervicitis are pain during sexual intercourse, a bloody discharge, bleeding or spotting between periods and burning during urinating.
