Atypia Pap Smear

An atypia pap smear means abnormal cervical cells have been detected and should be monitored, lichen sclerosis is sometimes also present and can affect cervical health. This test plays a great role in diagnosing cervical dysplasia and other problems, which have no symptoms. The test is painless and simple and may cause only minor discomfort. During the procedure some cells are scrapped form the cervix and sent for examination.
