The condition lsil, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, is associated with the genital wart viruses and may lead to cervical dysplasia if left untreated. Low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions are early changes in the size and shape of the cells forming the surface of the cervix. This condition is often associated with inoculation with HPV and presence of genital warts. If left untreated, this condition may lead to cervical cancer. Genital Wart, Cervical Dysplasia

HSIL stands for high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion and means that the cells are very different from normal condition. These cells are usually precancerous and are more likely to lead to cervical cancer. A colposcopy exam helps to determine the risk.
