Thinning cervix (incompentency), cervical cancer, and HPV surgical treatments all impact pregnancy and the ability to deliver normally. In cervical incompetence the opening to the womb, may begin dilating or growing thin over the last month of pregnancy. Some women go into labor already dilated and others have not dilated at all. Some pregnancies may have problems with the cervix dilating preterm (before 37 weeks). Thinning cervix (incompentency), cervical cancer, and HPV surgical treatments all impact pregnancy and the ability to deliver normally.
