Inflammation Of The Cervix

Inflammation of the cervix can be treated with cryosurgery or LEEP procedure if caused by HPV. When the cervical region becomes inflamed it is likely to be caused by bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is being linked to the HPV virus. It often is misdiagnosed as chronic yeast infections, and is treated with an antibiotic called Metronidazole. Often times, since it is viral, the antibiotics do not work. Inflammation of the cervix can be treated with cryosurgery or LEEP procedure if caused by HPV.
