Erosion Of The Cervix

Erosion of the cervix (friable) can be a result of human papilloma virus infection for which a cytology may be read as ASCUS. The condition of a partial or complete absence of the squamous (surface). The normal tissue is replaced by inflamed tissue, which is red and granular. This disorder can be caused by trauma (through intercourse, tampon or foreign objects insertion), infection (herpes, syphilis, tampons that were not removed), and chemicals. Human Papilloma Virus, ASCUS

The symptoms are: abnormal vagina bleeding, not associated with a menstrual period. It can be after sexual intercourse, between menstrual periods. But typically there are no symptoms. This condition usually treats on its own; the treatment is usually successful, although it may be an early sign of cancer.
