Dialated Cervix

An improperly dialated cervix can lead to miscarriage and can be caused by conditions associated with HPV. "D&C" is conducted if a Pap smear test doesn't indicate whether abnormalities are caused by problem in the cervix or in the endometrium. During the procedure the physitian scrapes the inside of the uterus to remove a tiny sample for analysis. The procedure can be performed in the office with or without anesthesia. After it minor complications are possible. Abnormal bleeding or perforation of the uterus are evry rare.
