Swollen Cervix

A swollen cervix, can indicate cervical dysplasia, or vaginosis. This disorder rarely comes back, unless you get a new infection. In case of pelvic inflammatory disease treatment may take several weeks. There exist many antibiotics, and usually symptoms improve within a few days after the appropriate treatment is started. It can be easily detected by pelvic examination and tests on the discharge. This condition together with inflammation, irritation, itching, painful intercourse, and bloody discharge usually occurs during cervicitis, caused by STD (gonorrhea, genital herpes, or chlamidia), infections, or injury. A swollen cervix, can indicate cervical dysplasia, or vaginosis.
