Prolapsed Cervix

A prolapsed cervix, is basically a removal of the cervix functions, and vaginosis can follow this procedure, or after a cone biopsy due to an imbalance of vaginal flora. Hysterectomy is done to women who don't want to have children. A pessary can be placed into the vagina to elevate the uterus or surgery may be done via a laparoscope to shorten the ligaments that support the uterus. There are several options for uterine prolapse. If there are no symptoms, there is no reasons to do anything at all. Surgical treatment of any sort is necessary only if the patient is experiencing pain during intercourse, pressure, urinary incontinence, urinary retection, or extreme degrees of prolapse.
