Inflammed Cervix

An inflammed cervix can be discovered during a colposcopy of the cervix. They can easily be detected by Pap smear. Increased risk is associated with intercourse at an early age, multiple sexual partners, and a history of sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, chlamidia, genital herpes, and genital warts). It affects more than half of all women. An inflammed cervix can be discovered during a colposcopy of the cervix.

Cervitis is very common. The condition is characterized by irritated or raw areas, buildup of discharge, and itching. The presence of foreign objects makes the tissue more susceptible to infection. Cervicitis is caused by an infection, or chemical exposure, or a foreign body. An inflammed cervix can be discovered during a colposcopy of the cervix.
