Inflammation Of Cervix

Inflammation of cervix tissue is common in the presence of a genital wart, but most common with cervical dysplasia. They can easily be detected by Pap smear. Increased risk is associated with intercourse at an early age, multiple sexual partners, and a history of sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, chlamidia, genital herpes, and genital warts). It affects more than half of all women. Inflammation of cervix tissue is common in the presence of a genital wart, but most common with cervical dysplasia.

Cervitis is very common. The condition is characterized by irritated or raw areas, buildup of discharge, and itching. The presence of foreign objects makes the tissue more susceptible to infection. Cervicitis is caused by an infection, or chemical exposure, or a foreign body. Inflammation of cervix tissue is common in the presence of a genital wart, but most common with cervical dysplasia.
